In 2020 SpinifexIT has started releasing 2 major releases for each year. This year's second version, 2021.R2, will showcase a number of new features and updates as SpinifexIT continuously enhances all of its solutions.
All the key changes for this version are summarized in the sections below, with some enhancements individually documented in the Help Center for more details.

Starting 2021.R2 Release , SpinifexIT will start introducing a new way of managing solution's activation key, enabling remote and central activation of individual products without the need of specific transport(s). This will be deployed along with the upgrade to 2021.R2 and with the agreement of Customers who will be provided a unique activation identifier. This will allow faster turnaround for possible "trial" periods or "proof of concept" if a Customer wishes to try a new product or extension. Upon agreement with the Customer, a usage reporting can be enabled to check the SAP and SpinifexIT product version they are on, facilitating the Customer Support process.
New ways of managing activation keys for the products:
- Activate particular product/s or products extension quickly
- Provide better visibility on current SAP and SpinifexIT version level
- Enable/disable tracking of system details and product usage logs
- Setup country-based restriction activations
- Activation of products for a specific duration of time.
- New way of setting up Field Security (by hiding fields) with the application of the Field Roles option - includes setting up Field Roles which can be done at a user level, defining user roles and assigning users to roles.
- Activation-enabled country security setup options that users can configure providing them flexibility and better control on applying limitations to reports that they built:
- Service Provider Security
- Transaction to Set Country Limits through Transport Country Roles
- Report Specific Security
- Performance improvement for running pre-delivered reports such as Qualification Match-up and Employee Pandemic Mobility
- Creation of ABAP Web Service to allow EHP5 / EHP6 SAP Systems to also use SAP CPI to connect to Strato
- Creation and adjustment of utility programs:
- Availability of a utility program for removing unnecessary SpinifexIT-related entries (/ALG/* entries) from the SAP index table
- Refining the utility program for cleaning up relevant SAP tables to improve performance
- Easy Reporter, through the Field Generation Wizard, can now process a maximum of 4 tables linked sequentially
- Along with the ability to copy legacy data to production by linking legacy employee numbers to new SAP employee numbers through Easy Clone / Easy Go live, Easy Reporter has been extended to report according to mapping of legacy employee number. This is facilitated by the following new features:
- Legacy Employee Inclusion section under the General System Settings menu
- Automatically Include Legacy Employees on Report checkbox
- A new option that users can utilize to set the import file to perform the Employee Number Remapping
- Ability to import data from external files
- Added functionality in the Data Import Options to provide users better Control over the import data timing
- Web Reporting:
- Functional changes for processing with selected variant:
- Period in direct execution will follow the Easy Reporter variant.
- Direct execution reports will follow the period from the selected Easy Reporter variant in the Web Reporting configuration.
- Employee section for non-Easy Reporter Selections field catalog will be reflected in Web Reporting for those with equivalent values only.
- Improved Search Help - Last name and first name are now displayed together with the Personnel Number in the search/selection list.
- Additional selection filters for SuccessFactors data are now available in Web Reporting. Users can now choose to select a particular Division/Position/Location, and so on, to limit the report data.
- Users can filter data after running the report in the Web Reporting tool and add further filters in the output to refine the data.
- Interface/display modifications to align Web Reporting with PCC standard theme
- Functional changes for processing with selected variant:
- SuccessFactors Integration
- Selection filters to limit the output from the SuccessFactors data
- Option to select either SAP employees or direct SuccessFactors Data / Employees
- Ability to select using the SuccessFactors Hierarchy and filter the report based on the organizational structure
- Performance improvements by adding buffering of selection values and manager lookup; and enhancing the amount of selection data passed to SuccessFactors to speed up the selections
- New fields / tables / infotypes and clusters available to report from:
- New fields for pre-delivered report Wage Type Catalog
- Additional fields under Infotype 0154 Social Security Data (Italy)
- Additional fields for Infotype 0462 Provincial Tax (Canada)
- Additional fields for Infotype 0463 Federal Tax (Canada)
- New field in Infotype 3432 Additional Data Sickness Notes (Czech Republic)
- New fields under Infotype 3436 Working Time (Czech Republic)
- Infotype 3346 Additional Fields (United Kingdom) with a new field, Sexual Orientation

- Ability to schedule a background job to automatically run a Process which involves setting a schedule for either an initial or re-run process. The enhancement includes the following components:
- Setup PCC Step Execution menu
- Setup Variants for PCC Execution submenu
- Set Default Login submenu
- Additional execution steps and enabling variants to provide users better control over variant values and dates
- Users can now build alert dependencies and refine alert settings to avoid receiving multiple alerts with the same information.
- A compact version of the Easy Help Desk can now be accessed via Easy Go Live and Payroll Control Center.
- Improved functionality for date selection to allow running multiple payroll periods and running reports across a longer period of time

- Users can now clone custom tables apart from the standard tables and SAP data. Easy Clone will have a wizard to allow users to quickly add their own custom tables without additional coding required.
- Additional payroll clusters (D* clusters) from the PCL2 table were added in Easy Clone (Germany)
- Time Evaluation can now be copied from a Non-Unicode to Unicode system.
- Utility to address the growing number of SpinifexIT-related entries in INDX Table
- Employee Central - SuccessFactors Integrated Solutions:
- Faster processing for thousands of records without job splits and automatic use of batch processing
- New checkbox options to copy replication table data for Employee Central Data copy
- Ability to copy inactive employees or employees with multiple countries, where each country can have different picklist values.
- Improved Audit Logs - now users can quickly identify if there are any errors when processing data in SuccessFactors.
- Additional option for keyword input in the Scramble Settings for cases that a new position number in SuccessFactors needs to be generated
- Alignment of key fields for the Employee Compensation entity

- Enhancements in line with Copying Legacy Data to Production:
- An option button and field that enable customers to create a new employee number based on the original employee number and a specified prefix.
- Customers can choose to link the new employee number to the original employee number via Infotype 0105 - Communication.
- A checkbox where customers can choose to align Infotype End Date to match the specified Current Period End Date.
- A series of new functionalities have been added to Easy Go Live specific to Parallel Run Comparison (including import files), such as:
- Users can now add short messages (for reference numbers), reason codes, or reason categories to single or multiple rows using a single screen
- Filter reports based on the new Reason Codes / Reason Categories
- Remapping or converting of legacy employee number to new employee number based on the data migrated to Infotype 0105 Communications or Infotype 0032 Internal Data Infotype
- Ability to reverse the old system values to quickly identify differences in the comparison
- Drill down functionality to easily group data and manage report information in Parallel Run
- Creation of subset reports for viewing the differences in Parallel Run and for better performance when using front-end interface
- Easy Go Live can now be linked to Easy Clone Light with the following limitations:
- Limits cloning to employee master data for a maximum of 250 employees per month
- Excludes copying data from and to an import file
- New Pre-delivered Reports and Scenarios to aid in quick setup and comparison run

- Ability to migrate standard tables and all configuration and data in custom tables
- Improved capacity to handle large tables that contain hundreds and thousands of records
- New Country groups added into the remap option: France and United Kingdom
- Time Evaluation results can now be transferred from a Non-Unicode system to a Unicode system copy (Please note that this only works going from a Non-Unicode to a Unicode system.)
